Local lore indicates that Captain Best deeded the land to the local chaplain who had a church on Drake Road. The chaplain had been in Captain Best’s regiment in WWI.   The house was built after this time & over the decades additions were added and upgrades were completed.     


The country Kitchen features a convenient island, bay window & is adjacent to the attractive eating area overlooking the outdoor hot tub, deck & water views.  


The open Living & Dining areas feature ceramic tile floors & enjoy the cozy fireplace.


Seraphim B & B was operated for 15 years.  Rates were approximately $100/night adjusted seasonally. It has not officially been used as a B & B since 2012 & is  being sold as a principal residence only.


This residence is suited for use by extended family with 3 private areas plus the central core of the house, or by those that wish to entertain “their whole tribe” of children & grandchildren with the hot tub & summer dining gazebo. 


Alternatively, either the cottage wing could be used as a professional office or studio with separate entry, reception, bathroom etc. or the main level guest area also with separate entry into the sitting room, plus private bathroom & two office areas (now bedrooms) may be preferred.   A couple with separate home occupations could be accommodated.


GARDEN: The property boasts of many shrubs, perennials including hundreds of daffodils, plus some apple, pear & cherry fruit trees & kitchen herbs including rosemary, parsley & chives.   The gardens are magical as is the gracious wisteria adorning the residence. The wrought iron trellis by the breezeway & the gated entry were custom created by artist Steve Forbes.
